This week we were happy to discover the first penguin ever in an article in the local weekly paper – the Potchefstroom Herald about a local 14-year old, Schalk-Willem Kruger – the youngest ever to take part in the Computer Olympiad .
The CSSA Computer Olympiad is one of the oldest and largest competitions of its kind in the world.
The aim of the olympiad is to:
• Bring about the awareness of the potential uses of computers
• Promote and encourage the spread of computer education
• Identify, encourage and reward programming aptitude.
